Financial Reporting Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a dynamic real estate investment and development firm in London in a Financial Reporting Accountant capacity.
This Financial Reporting Accountant role involves reviewing and preparing financial statements, supporting external property accountants, and managing year-end accounts production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, be a qualified accountant (ACA), and preferably have real estate experience.
Day to Day of the role:
- Review and prepare reporting for the audited, quarterly group financial statements.
- Provide support and guidance to external property accountants and purchase ledger clerk.
- Collaborate with fund administrators regarding fund accounts, carry calculations, and partner statements.
- Collate documentation supporting the group’s internal controls and liaise with external auditors.
- Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to controls or documentation.
- Manage the year-end accounts production process and audits for the Group’s SPVs.
- Oversee and assist with the group’s consolidated statutory Financial Reporting.
- Build strong relationships with the investment team and external providers, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in preparation of bank compliance reporting and communication with lenders.
- Provide transaction support for asset/corporate acquisitions and disposals, bank financing, etc.
- Handle ad hoc Financial Reporting for investors and assist in the Group’s collation and use of asset data.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, preferably with 1st time passes).
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Real estate experience is preferable.
- Inquiring and analytical mind, enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail in a pressured environment is critical.
- Self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
- Clear and confident communicator with good presentation skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, capable of responding to unforeseen change/events.
- Self-confident with the credibility and maturity to interact at senior levels.
