Financial Reporting Manager

FTSE listed business based near Manchester Airport requires a Financial Reporting Manager. This role is initially a 15month FTC but this could easily become longer or more permanent due to growth of the business.

Reporting to one of the Senior Finance Managers this role is responsible for the key deliverables including the Annual and Interim report’s to a FTSE quality, along with the 49 sets of statutory entity accounts.

You will also have alot of interaction with senior stakeholders across the group including C-suite, Audit committee, communications and social media teams, divisional FD’s and MD’s in order to prepare FTSE quality external reporting.

Main liaison with the external audit in an open, transparent robust process during the interim process at half year, interim, controls testing, walkthroughs and full year, ensuring a clean audit with no surprises.

the right candidate will also manage a small team and play a leading role in technical accounting for the group, by authoring technical accounting papers on specific issues and delivering technical accounting training from time to time.

Accountable for understanding key business area’s in order to provide best practise guidance on external reporting consequences, business planning and forecasting for material areas of judgement.
