We are in search of an experienced Field Engineer to join our expanding team in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in IP CCTV installations, particularly with Hikvision, Axis, and Dahua systems. A strong understanding of CCTV system designs in compliance with relevant British Standards (BS8418) and familiarity with risk mitigation using Detector Activated Remote Monitored CCTV is essential.
The successful candidate will not only excel in the physical installation of CCTV systems but also demonstrate proficiency in configuring these systems. Adaptability to meet clients' specific needs and the evolving nature of their premises is a crucial aspect of the role. The position involves out-of-hours work, overtime, and travel to customer sites with prior notice. Additionally, participation in the on-call rota system is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and commissioning of CCTV systems.
Maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
Problem-solving and effective issue resolution related to CCTV systems.
Timely completion of all work documentation.
Client training on the use of new equipment and updates on potential false alarm hazards.
Professional and courteous communication with clients, addressing concerns effectively.
Equipment checks prior to installation and ensuring correct paperwork for commissioning.
Management of van stock, conducting stock checks, and timely replacement of items.
Responsibility for the condition of the vehicle, ensuring compliance with safe driving requirements.
Key Skills and Experience:
Self-starter with the ability to work outdoors.
Experience working both independently and in a team.
Flexible approach to working locations and times.
Desirable: CSCS Card.
Excellent customer service skills as the primary company representative interacting with clients on-site.
Demonstrable knowledge of CCTV installation and commissioning.
Knowledge of both open protocol and closed protocol systems.
Working knowledge of IP Networking and strong IT competence.
Essential Requirements:
Full Driver's License.
CSCS License.
Documentation for Security Screening to BS7858 Standard (Valid Passport and/or Birth Certificate, Bank Statement/Utility Bill dated within 3 months, and Driver's License).
