My client is one of the market leaders in the compliance industry with over 30 years of experience. The Fire Damper Compliance Manager is a fantastic opportunity to grow a specialised area of the business and to join an already experienced and passionate team. The business provides services across the ventilation and grease hygiene sectors, which includes Fire Damper Testing. Services include installation and remedial work to businesses within the public sector, commercial, industrial, and retail clients as well as utility companies.
Main areas of work:
- Fire Damper Testing
- Fire Damper Fitting and remedial works
- General ventilation remedial works and cleaning
- Ductwork Fitting and amendments such as installing fire stopping
Job roles and responsibilities:
Our clients main aim is to ensure that all Environmental Hygiene Testing and Remedial Contracts assigned are completed to the required standard and specifications. We liaise with our customers and their representatives to agree on the work and priority of work to be completed.
- The Compliance Manager will oversee the workload of our compliance team, coordinating on-site tasks with written programmes and establishing job priorities.
- Ensure adequate manpower is available for the required tasks, and keep the team informed of their duties and responsibilities.
- Verify that the team possesses all necessary equipment and adheres to procedures related to contract supervision.
- Ensure the completion of work in line with customer expectations and Statutory Health and Safety Regulations, both on-site and at the depot.
- Maintain awareness of health and safety procedures and ensure the correct use of protective clothing.
- Collaborate with the Workshop/Store Manager to maintain all general and specialised equipment in serviceable condition.
- Replace and report any deemed unserviceable equipment to the Senior Contracts Supervisor for investigation and further action if necessary.
- Supervise Compliance Operatives, ensuring work is completed according to required standards and specifications.
- Although not responsible for the budget, the Compliance Manager ensures that the job is completed within the allocated budget.
- Collaborate with the Regional Supervisor to provide on-the-job training for new operatives.
- Take responsibility as a Compliance Manager to address urgent problems, discuss on-site situations, advise on progress, and set daily priorities.
- Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct (Ref: POL037) when engaged in company duties, irrespective of capacity or location.
