The role – Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) - Remedial Actions Coordinator

You will be responsible for coordinating the Remedial Actions following on from our Fire Risk Assessments. You will ensure works are issued to contractors and that they are delivered within target timescales. The contractors you will be working with will be managed, in accordance with budgetary and operational performance requirements, and you will play a key role in managing risk across our portfolio to ensure we deliver remediation works following Fire Risk Assessments.

As the Fire Remedial Actions Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the most effective and efficient management and delivery of fire actions following Fire Risk Assessments. You will be a key member of the Compliance Team ensuring we keep our residents safe by effectively working closely with our contractors whilst also ensuring you keep our customers updated. With experience in fire safety and experience of working closely with assessors and contractors you will be the expert in ensuring we achieve and maintain compliance putting life safety at the forefront of everything you do.

What you’ll do

  • Be responsible for delivery of all FRA Remedial Actions.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with relevant British Standards
  • Create and maintain compliance-based documentation and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Inputting and analysing evidence to ensure compliance.
  • Be responsible for issuing and monitoring of FRA Remedial Actions, you’ll implement quality assurance processes and use performance data to evaluate and monitor improvement right across the Origin Housing stock.
  • You will provide regular reports to evidence progress on our completion of FRA Remedial Actions and be the go-to person across the business for management of all activities.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Good working knowledge of Fire Safety Order, Fire Safety Act and Fire Safety Regulations
  • Good understanding of active and passive fire safety systems
  • Knowledge and experience of reviewing FRA remedial action works
  • Experience in FRA action remediation delivery in the residential sector.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, compliance, and CDM regulations.
  • Understanding of leaseholder management, consultation, and service charge arrangements.
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated, and focused
  • Solution and compliance driven.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Be up to date with fire safety legislation and evidence this through continued professional development.
