Excel Industrial are currently recruiting for skilled Fire & Security Engineers to join our clients dynamic team! As a leading recruitment business, we are seeking individuals with expertise in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.
We understand that engineers will not have experience in all areas as such additional training will be provided when required or requested.
Responsibilities:
- Multi skilled Fire & Security Engineer (Service / Maintenance / Installation / Small Works)
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire detection, alarm, and security systems.
-Systems to be skilled on, Fire Alarms / Intruder alarms/ CCTV IP & Analogue / Door Access / Intercoms / strong IP network knowledge etc
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to service calls for system repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and regulations.
- Proven experience in fire and security system installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Must be qualified in any of the following NSI/ C&G / NVQ / FIA / Bafe / Manufacturers Courses
- IPAF Cert Advantageous

Hours:
Your normal hours of work are between 08:30am and 17:00pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.
Your travel and overtime entitlement will be overtime at your prevailing contractual rate, as documented above, will be paid after 9 hours each working day (Monday to Friday) from when the engineer has turned on his tablet AND has started moving in the van each day.
You will be part of our on-call roster undertaking a week (Mon-Sun) of being on call at a time, along with your normal duties. Engineers are paid a standard on call fee of £250 for being on call for the week plus any hours when you are called out paid at your overtime rates as above.
If you are called out, you receive 11 hours continuous rest following completion of the call out work.
