Job Description: Front Desk Receptionist
Durham Climbing Centre offers a world class indoor rock-climbing experience to climbers in the North East.
The rise of indoor climbing means participation in is growing rapidly. We are seeking a highly efficient and professional receptionist for this varied role. As the first point of contact to customers and potential customers, you will be responsible for looking after the reception areas and attending to the needs of the customer.
Duties include greeting customers, making food and drinks and providing information on products and services. Excellent admin skills and a background in hospitality and customer service would be advantageous.

The Receptionist reports to the Centre Manager
Duties
· Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
· Check in customers
· Advise on products and services
· Process bookings
· Answer phone and email enquiries efficiently
· Keep reception areas clean and tidy
· Make food and drinks
· Restock café and equipment shop
· Cleaning and hygiene duties
· Clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and transcribing
· Manage customer membership and booking software
· Generate invoices
· Email software management
· Train staff in computer systems and operations
Social media marketing
Person Specification
· Friendly and approachable attitude
· Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
· Proficiency in windows and MAC including office
· Proficient in client booking software
· Professional attitude and appearance
· Solid written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
· Excellent organizational skills
· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
· Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
· Customer service attitude and approach
· Organised and efficient
Desirable
· Food hygiene
· First Aid
· DBS
· Office management or similar qualification
· Experience of working in similar climbing wall or leisure setting
Hours of work
Full time 37 hours
Includes daytimes, evenings and weekends on rota basis
