Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £31,110 per annum
Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 public holidays
Based at: North or South Wales (flexibility required)
Role Overview:
Working as part of the Business Development team this role will collaborate with others in the realisation of an ambitious income generating strategy. This is an exciting role to lead on the growth of fundraising income and expand on the success of our existing Business Development work.
This role will have a particular focus on securing income from individuals, businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an effective and professional fundraiser.
This role offers a unique opportunity to tap into a rich network of colleagues within our Mental Health UK partnership. The successful candidate will have access to a collaborative environment where they can share best practices and exchange innovative ideas.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To achieve all restricted and un-restricted income targets through effective fundraising activities including but not limited to individual giving, corporate giving, trusts & foundation etc.
- To assist with providing a written summary of the fundraising opportunity to the Associate Director of Business Development.
- Identify new sources of income to support the growth of Adferiad’s services; including suitable potential corporate and community partners and develop these income streams for the benefit of Adferiad’s services and clients.
- Manage a pipeline of donations and pledges and be instrumental in the creation of donor journeys and ways of working.
- Coordinate and develop high quality applications to trusts & foundations.
- Build and manage a calendar of key dates and deadlines for timely applications to corporates, trusts and foundations.
- To develop and implement individual cultivation and stewardship plans to motivate and ensure repeat support, including organising cultivation and stewardship events.
- To organise fundraising events with corporate partners.
- To work with communications & events department to ensure our presence online and at physical events are optimised to encourage fundraising.
- To work with Head of Communications to maintain and update the Community Fundraising page on the Charity’s website; highlighting goals and successes.
- To work with Head of Communications to drive digital fundraising and ensure that all PR and marketing opportunities are utilised including all social media channels.
- To develop appropriate systems for managing and monitoring donors and fundraising activities.
- To develop different potential areas for fundraising income e.g., legacy giving, coordinated events etc.
- Always operate within the guidelines set out in the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Ensure gift aid regulations are always followed and the income generated is maximised.
- Develop and maintain an excellent knowledge of Adferiad’s services and build relationships with managers to support fundraising activities.

- To act as an ambassador for the organisation and always seek ways to actively promote and market the services we across Wales.
- To participate in Adferiad’s continuous learning, development, and annual review process.
- To attend training provided, organised, or arranged by Adferiad.
- To operate within and observe Adferiad policies and procedures as amended and updated.
