An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our clients for a General Manager - Laser Profiling and Cutting, Waterjet Cutting and Tube Laser Cutting.

The ideal candidate will have strong General Management, Operational Management or Technical Management expertise in either Laser Profiling and Cutting, Waterjet Cutting or Tube Laser Cutting, alternatively they will look at candidates with experience in Metal Fabrication or CNC Machining or of running a Machine Shop. They may also consider applicants with experience in working for a Metals Manufacturer or in Precision Engineering or you will simply have an extraordinarily strong track record in an Engineering environment.

The company sells into a variety of different markets and sectors such as Fabrication companies, the Automotive sector, the Motorsport industry, the Marine sector, the Construction industry and into Shopfitting so experience of working in or selling to these sectors would be useful. There is enormous potential for growth within the business as there is real scope to go into much larger value work and contract work.

As a General Manager, you will have Full P&L Responsibilities for the company and all 16 employees plus you will be measured on your overall financial results and overall profit made for the business along with how you integrate yourself into the team, business and overall group.

The client is looking to recruit someone who can grow and develop the business and this role offers excellent and varied opportunities for career progression into more senior positions throughout the wider group so you must be an extremely ambitious and forward-thinking individual who thrives on a challenge and enjoys making profit for the company.

You must be adaptable and flexible, able to present eloquently and succinctly, with good critical thinking skills and strong technical expertise.
