Description
In the role of General Manager you will have overall responsibility for transport function and planning of the entire operation. This will include client relationships and the cost-effective and timely delivery of services. You will drive continuous improvement across the business and further develop integrated transport solutions that deliver a premium and cost-effective service to our customers. You will have overall responsibility for producing, agreeing & managing the Operational and Fleet budget.
Profile
We are looking to speak with candidates that meet the following criteria:
- Good working knowledge of the Dangerous Goods or highly regulated sectors
- Significant operational experience in both UK Transport and freight forwarding
- The ability to maximise the financial performance of the team and to enourage the growth of the business
- An effective communicator at all levels with the personal motivation and confidence to have a positive impact within the company and with clients
- Significant experience in developing management teams within a similar complex logistics operation
