Southside of Edinburgh based office-based role with potential for hybrid when not required in the office
Part-Time role 21 hours per week 3 days per week to be agreed
Temp role for a minimum of 2 months with potential for extension
Pay rate up to 20.00 per hour depending on skills & relevant experience
Search Consultancy are currently working with an Edinburgh based client in the housing services sector to recruit an experienced Governance & Compliance Officer who will be responsible for providing support with the company's statutory & regulatory obligations, best practice and audits - as well as providing some support to the CEO & Executive team.
Duties involved in this role will include:
- Providing comprehensive support on a variety of compliance & governance issues including Scottish Housing Regulator work, corporate governance, assurance, internal audits & best practice
- Ensuring that all required reporting is completed and submitted correctly & in line with deadlines
- Dealing extensively with both internal & external stakeholders in relation to work being carried out
- Working closely with the CEO and Executive team, providing compliance support on a variety of issues
- Full management of committee meetings including prep, documentation, minutes, action point tracking and any related correspondence or documentation
- Providing evidence-based compliance & governance advice when required
- Responsibility for updating & managing the company's social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram & Twitter / X
- Various other compliance-related work as required
In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:
- Previous experience & skills gained in a compliance & governance role, preferably from within a housing, third sector or charity firm - this experience is ESSENTIAL
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be required to deal with stakeholders & customers at all levels
- Excellent organisation & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a busy workload effectively
- Solid IT Skills including the full MS Office suite & a solid knowledge of social media platforms
