Our Norwich Office continues to grow, with specific growth demand within Leisure, Culture, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial office and Masterplanning sectors, where we have successfully secured positions with many leading local / national clients and some key local projects and programs in the industry.
As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full time Graduate Quantity Surveyor with the following requirements.
Job Description:
The successful graduate will be working alongside our existing surveyors, Associates or Partners to successfully manage and deliver various capital projects across East Anglia and nationally. The role would cover the whole project life from initial inception and business case development estimates, through the design and procurement and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase. This broad and rounded experience is second to none within the local area and we will actively assist in developing the candidate towards ultimately chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - MRICS. RUA LLP will provide the candidate with support and guidance towards achieving this industry leading chartered status.
The candidate should hold the skills and experience through their degree or job experience to actively support the internal team under supervision, whilst also supporting more junior staff on projects typically ranging in size from £500k to £30m. They will assist RUA LLP to develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other professional colleagues within the industry.
They will have the ability to successfully support the delivery of projects under supervision, leading to further repeat clients and opportunities. As experience develops, this support will ultimately lead to managing and leading projects of their own.
Minimum Requirements:
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
- Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members and effectively balance people and processes.
- Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus.
- Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion.
- Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
- Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment or within a client organisation (not essential). This role could also equally suit a candidate about to complete their degree course and looking to make the next exciting step in their career.
- Preferred Qualifications:
RICS accredited Quantity Surveyor degree, or similar i.e. BSc (Hons).
Enrolled upon the RICS APC pathway through year-out work (not essential).
