Graduate Surveyor – Senior Surveyor: EMEA Retail Investment Properties
Location: London (Henrietta House)
The EMEA Retail Investment Properties team is the market leader in Europe and represents CBRE’s clients on some of the region’s most prestigious retail transactions, including luxury high street blocks, dominant regional shopping centres and complex pan-European portfolios.
Working in close collaboration with our in-country teams, we facilitate investment transactions from pitch and sales preparation, through to analysis, marketing and due diligence and finally through to closing. The team has strong relationships with retail investors throughout the region and plays an integral role in unlocking investment product. We aim to deliver the highest standards of output and consistency across Europe and our high level of technical ability and experience within the sector, allows us to bring a sense of expertise and leadership to all investment transaction processes no matter the location or subsector.
This position is for a transaction-oriented individual to make a meaningful contribution from day one. The recruit will become an integral part of the team from the outset and will be a proven self-starter. A can-do attitude and an ability to adapt to working across different business cultures are essential. Ideally they would have an understanding of investment fundamentals, but a willingness to learn and tackle the role is essential. The candidate can expect to work on the execution of transactions, pitching and providing investment consultancy services and will quickly gain exposure to our senior leadership and clients across Europe.
Travel is integral to the role and as such, the candidate should be keen to embrace this.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the team in the execution of Retail Investment transactions around Europe
• Creating marketing and pitch materials
• Investment analysis including understanding and building of cash flows
• Performance analysis of Retail Investment opportunities
• Collating market intelligence on a pan-European basis
• Producing client-facing presentations
• Report writing
• Developing a strong internal and external network of stakeholders and clients
Person Specification/Requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter and highly motivated
• Willingness and ability to travel within Europe
• A collaborative team player, with an openness and ability to work across a variety of business cultures
• Accurate, with exceptional attention to detail
• A very strong grasp of written and spoken English
• Good numeracy and analytical skills
• Ambitious with good commercial acumen
• Ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
• Excellent presentation skills
• Previous experience in analysing cash flow models preferred but not essential
• Previous experience of real estate investment transactions preferred but not essential
• Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, etc.)
