Group Accountant

£50,000 to £70,000
North Derbyshire
Site based full time - early finish friday at 2pm.

RattrayParkin are partnered with a successful global business based in North Derbyshire seeking to appoint a Group Accountant.
Reporting into the Finance Director the successful candidate will focus on management reporting, consolidation of group companies and project lead for an ERP systems change.
This is a fantastic opportunity suited to an ambitious individual with 3-5 years PQE (Must be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified) with long term progression to a Financial Controller role a distinct possibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts.
• Consolidations of Group companies
• Liaise with Professional advisers overseas to ensure local statutory reporting and tax compliance
• Finance Project Lead on ERP Systems change
• Business planning and budgeting, assisting in maximising profits by controlling costs and maximising margins.
• Manage Group cashflow and forecasting.
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities and check for discrepancies.
• Close down month-end and year-end trading activities, balancing ledgers, production of annual statutory accounts with auditors.
• Statutory reporting alongside external advisors, preparation of information for annual accounts and audit files for overseas entities

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Sage & Epicor desirable
