Group Management Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance is pleased to be supporting a large business based in Central London with it's recruitment of a Group Management Accountant. This role is being offered as a fixed term contract and will last an initial 9 months. The role will initially require 1 day per week's travel to an office in Sevenoaks (otherwise from home), with a planned office move commencing June 2024 to Central London (1 day a week in the office, with the rest from home). 

The role will include the following:

• Responsibility for the preparation and analysis of the Support Centre management accounts in conjunction with the Assistant Management Accountant, to include prepayments, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monthly departmental cost reviews with relevant departments to include Finance, HR, Marketing, IT.
• Preparation of the Holding Companies monthly management accounts.
• In conjunction with the Management Accounting team (who focus on operational results rather than central functions), develop and maintain a single reporting format to meet the needs of all parts of the Finance team.
• Consolidation of monthly group results for management reporting.
• Assist the FC and Senior Group Accountant in the preparation of monthly meaningful finance reporting to the executive board and investors.
• Preparation of budgets for central group functions and monitoring of performance against these.
• Work closely with the Financial Accountant to coordinate the audit in relation to the central group costs.
• Work closely with the Financial Accountant and Treasury team in relation to cash management and forecasting across the business.
• Ownership of the group intercompany processes and balances including Intercompany invoicing and recharges.
• Support the annual financial audit process.
• Management of an Assistant Management Accountant.

This role will suit:

• A qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or a part-qualified/QBE Accountant.
• Experience of producing complex consolidated Group Management accounts.
• Experience of handling large volume of data within pre-build Power Pivtos.
• Advanced Excel.
• Someone available to start a new role in the next 4 weeks.

Travel costs to Sevenoaks (1 day per week) for the initial part of the contract will be paid.
