Role Overview:
Reporting to the Group Senior Sustainability Manager and working in close collaboration with and under the mentorship of the Group Sustainability Specialist, your role will ensure Bupa is using the best data and insights to inform decision making across its sustainability strategy.
What you'll do:
- Support core decision making with data insights from scope 3 reporting and other metrics that Bupa will track as part of the sustainability strategy
- Facilitate the effective engagement of Bupa's leadership team and Market Units with data insights that support key governance forums such as the Sustainability Steering Committee or the Board Sustainability Committee
- Support on the development of insights and thought leadership for Bupa's coalitions, white papers, external reporting and internal engagement forums
- Support, via the use of data and insights, the development of Bupa's Net Zero transition plan
- Work collaboratively to enhance Bupa's scope 3 methodology and calculation process
- Act as a facilitator between the Group Sustainability team and others to enable the effective calculation of scope 3 emissions and continual improvement of the data quality and methodology used as part of the process
- Support the business to engage key value chain partners, such as suppliers and healthcare providers, to improve data quality and achieve emissions reductions
What you'll bring:
- Understanding of sustainability/ESG data and reporting and GHG accounting requirements
- Understanding of GHG Protocol standards and related documents, scope 3 methodologies and calculation
- Strong analytical skills essential and methodical with attention to detail
- Strong excel skills including the ability to manipulate large quantities of data
- Knowledge of or experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is preferred
- Capable of delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstration of prior project management in complex sustainability reporting projects
- Ability to communicate with, influence and engage non-financial and financial and technical and non-technical audiences and stakeholders
