Head of Category, Channel, and Consumer Insights/ London / Competitive Salary plus bonus and car allowance
12 month Temporary Contract
Our client, a global pharmaceutical company specialising in dermatology, are looking for a Head of Category, Channel and Consumer Insights. you will play a pivotal role in enabling the company and their partners to identify and capitalise on business opportunities that align with their strategic objectives to grow the current business and expand into new markets across their various brands. Your expertise will provide the analytical and strategic vision needed to drive revenue growth and thought leadership for their sales and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and build category plans that align with the Consumer Business Unit objectives and customer strategies to drive overall business growth.
- Develop strategies and plans that deliver category growth based on consumer, shopper, and customer insights and requirements.
- Identify distribution and growth opportunities both online and offline in existing and new customers.
- Investigate and highlight opportunities for new product launches, incremental listings, and additional space gains.
- Establish clear promotional and pricing guidelines in line with global brand positioning.
- Create and establish clear best practices for the category management framework.
- Lead the annual range review analysis, providing recommendations and output analysis, including space planning both online and offline.
- Manage data strategy and research budgets.
- Deliver an in-depth understanding of the skincare category and consumer, providing reporting and analysis of macro and micro trends.
- Manage the end-to-end process for Consumer Insights, including the consumer path to purchase and shopper missions, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including agencies and retailer category teams.
- Act as the lead contact for Regional and Global insights for consumer, channel, and category.
Ideal Person
- Degree level education preferably within Business or Marketing
- 7+ years in FMCG Category Management, UK customer/FMCG market knowledge.
- Successful track record in category management.
- Previous experience using Nielsen, IRI & Stackline.
- Proven stakeholder and cross-functional relationship management, including retailer experience
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
- Leadership qualities and people management experience
- Understanding of qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
This is a hybrid role with one day per week at the London office plus travel to retail partners as required
