The role
As the Head of Commercial, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Across our contracts, our Head of Commercial make a difference every day in managing existing contracts, undertaking negotiations, conducting pricing activities and dynamic contractual risk assessments along with supporting tender and organic growth activities at every level to achieve our customer's mission.
Day-to-day, you'll:
- Be responsible for all commercial and contract management (pre and post signature) and appropriate governance across the portfolio
- Undertake significant negotiations in support of organic or new growth opportunities, ensuring well balanced risk and reward, and profitability, is achieved.
- Lead and develop the commercial team across the portfolio, nurturing future commercial talented professionals
- Act as a Business Partner for the portfolio to identify and implement pragmatic commercial solutions and strategies
- Be a point of approval, escalation and sounding board for the portfolio in support of the future strategic business direction
This role is full time, 37-hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Head of Commercial
- Experienced commercial individual who has a track record in bidding for, negotiating and managing complex and/or highly strategic contracts
- Has commercial and contracts experience and demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre and post contract and commercial activity
- Experienced in defining, driving, and overseeing commercial and contract governance
- Able to identify and implement pragmatic commercial solutions to achieve a win-win
- Strong leadership style focussed on engagement and driving to outcomes
Qualifications for the Head of Commercial
- Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent achieved through extensive and demonstrably successful experience.
Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
