Head Of Commercial Finance

Altum Consulting are currently supporting a global FMCG business to find them a new high calibre Head of Commercial Finance, you play a pivotal role in a high-profile Commercial Finance transformation driving forward the capability of the Commercial Finance team. As well as supporting the delivery of revenue and profit targets, through the delivery of world class analysis and insight for the business.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the delivery of profit and revenue targets, by working with commercial teams to support pricing decision and trading teams to support planning
• Working with the lowering cost team, and back into Commercial Finance to support and govern the delivery of projects and associated benefits related to these projects
• Support the analysis and tracking of weekly and monthly commercial performance through the delivery of Commercial analysis and insights to the Finance Director and the broader Commercial Finance team
• Work with FP&A to deliver a weekly and monthly performance review process that enables us to identify and manage the commercial drivers of the business
• Support FP&A in the delivery of Month end and Quarter end reporting through the provision of Commercial insights
• Develop and lead the delivery capability of the Commercial Finance team, supporting the development of new tools and reporting processes
• Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports and a wider indirect team

Key Skills

• Commercial Business Partnering in a Retail or FMCG environment is essential
• Experience / understanding of sales to gross profit is essential
• Strong commercial acumen and business partnering experience
• Experience in leading change / transformation is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate with impact to senior management, business stakeholders and wider finance teams
• Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CA
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• Business Appraisal and Analysis
• Governance and Controls experience
• Advanced Excel
