As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Compliance to join their team and play a pivotal role in maintaining their compliance framework while facilitating continued growth.
Position Overview:
As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for leading and developing the compliance team, implementing Compliance Monitoring and Testing processes, managing regulatory compliance across the FCA framework, and ensuring that outstanding customer outcomes are consistently achieved. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the compliance function, work closely with the C-Suite, and drive your career to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the compliance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Compliance Monitoring and Testing: Develop and implement comprehensive compliance monitoring and testing programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Gap Analysis: Conduct in-depth gap analysis across FCA regulations and internal compliance standards, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures as needed.
- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to regulatory authorities.
- Compliance Training: Coordinate and deliver compliance training to employees at all levels of the organization.
- C-Suite Engagement: Collaborate with the executive team, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support business growth while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in compliance roles within the financial services industry, preferably within consumer lending.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance best practices - Particularly Consumer Credit
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively and strategically with senior leadership.
