This is reflected by its decision to implement a rare 4 day work-week, plus a predominantly home-based role, with expectations to be in the office just 1 day per week.
We are sourcing a credible and charismatic Head of Finance to join on a 12 month maternity cover contract. This is a key role, acting as the No.2 in Finance, supporting the FD and leading a small team of Finance Business Partners/Management Accountant, as well as an AP and AR Lead.
Main duties include:
* Providing FP&A and decision making support to the business and maintaining models and scenarios
* Full responsibility for year end and month end reporting
* Forecasting, budgeting and producing 5 year plan and strategy
* Establishing and maintaining a strong control environment
* Drafting Board reporting and first line review of management accounts
* Establishing and maintaining productive and effective relationships with all internal Business Unites
* Leading and mentoring the team
* Delivering clean audits
* Supporting the SLT strategy and future changes in the business
Key skills & experience required:
* ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified
* Experience of managing the Finance function in a fast-moving and dynamic SME environment (not candidates looking to step-up into a Head of Finance role)
* Broad finance skill set covering FP&A and financial management
* Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work to tight deadlines
* Strong communicator, can build relationships with the SLT credibly and capably
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
