We are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance on a permanent, full time basis. We are proud to be the pet charity that makes a difference to the lives of pets and people across the UK. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, our Head of Finance leads on all aspects of financial management for both the Charity and the trading company. This includes providing an effective financial accounting service and a first-rate finance business partnering service.
The successful applicant for this position will have:
- Demonstrable experience of providing strategic leadership within a Finance function and its connection to the whole organisation
- Substantial experience of managing a small team
- Experience of financial business partnering within an organisation and building relationships
- Substantial experience of assessing organisational-wide financial risks and implementing relevant mitigation controls
- Extensive experience of producing management accounts and statutory charity financial accounts
- Extensive experience in leading on the production of budgets and forecasts
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of charity VAT and Gift Aid.
