Radley Green are partnering with a global construction business who are seeking a Head Of Finance Operations to join the team based in Central London.
The role requires a qualified accountant who has experience managing and overseeing a transactional finance department.
The role will pay up to 90k and will be based in the office 4 days per week.
Role Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day transactional finance including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll teams.
- Guiding and developing a large department with multiple teams.
- Managing the intercompany team to ensure that balances are reconciled at the end of each month end.
- Managing general ledger related activities and managing and coordinating general ledger reporting requirements.
- Managing month end close activities and opening activities.
- Working with the group financial controller to ensure adequate financial controls are in place and helping with control improvements.
- Supporting ongoing system and process improvements.
- Reviewing month end reconciliations and ensuring month end and year end requirements are met.
- Overseeing supplier statement reconciliations.
- Reviewing aged creditor and aged debtor reports.
- Partner effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting with the year end audit.
- Supporting with ad hoc queries and resolving issues.
Role Requirements:
- Possess a professional accounting qualification (ACA/CA, CIMA, ACCA).
- Very strong knowledge and experience of professional accounting standards, transactional accounting and month end close processes.
- Excellent systems knowledge (Oracle Fusion or equivalent ERP experience is preferred).
- Experience overseeing a large finance department including senior employees and managers.
- Excellent business partnering skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
