You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger teams.
- Ensuring that the team has the resources and capacity to succeed and that colleagues in the team have the guidance and development support they need to thrive.
- Managing the intercompany team to ensure that balances are reconciled at the end of each month end.
- Evaluating intercompany on a regular basis and manage repatriation of cash back to group by way of intercompany clear downs.
- Managing general ledger related activities and manage and coordinate general ledger reporting requirements.
- Managing month end close activities and opening activities.
- Working with the group financial controller to ensure adequate financial controls are in place and helping with control improvements.
- Supporting ongoing system and process improvements.
- Reviewing month end reconciliations and ensuring the team are up to date with these and other outstanding issues for month end and year end requirements.
- Ensuring the team are up to date with supplier statement reconciliations.
- Reviewing aged creditor reports.
- Reviewing aged debtor reports.
- Monitoring and reviewing duty to report supplier payment reporting and help driving improvements in this area.
- Acting as an ambassador for the finance team and partner effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting with the year end audit.
- Supporting team with training and development.
- Supporting with ad hoc queries and resolving issues.
You’ll need to have:
- Professional accounting qualification e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
- GCSE Maths and English, grade C or above.
