Head Of Finance (Place And Corporate)

Are you a finance professional with the ability to challenge the status quo?

We are currently working with a London Borough to recruit a Head of Finance to support the Place and Corporate Directorate, they are looking for someone who is ready to step into the role and be instrumental in having a positive impact on their services.

The role will report to the Deputy Director of Finance and will be responsible for leading and implementing the business partnering function across Place and Corporate. The successful candidate will work closely with the service leadership team, and Members, to aid decision making and also be a trusted ally helping develop, challenge and support service plans and project delivery. They are looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and help develop new delivery models to deliver significant savings and maximise the outcomes for residents.

To be suitable for the role you need to be an ambitious qualified accountant with the ability to engage with the service and bring them on the change journey. Previous experience in a local authority setting is essential, ideally with some knowledge of areas in Place. They are very happy to consider candidates stepping up into a Head of Finance role.
