The Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the Hospital Director and will be a key hire within the Senior Leadership Team and will play a critical part in ensuring they provide finance support and expertise for hospital Senior Management Teams, driving a clear understanding of the operational and financial performance of the hospital. Reliance of consistent, informed, proactive, and solid leadership in the new Head of Finance is essential. Working within a Senior Management Team that is committed to delivering, is patient-centred, operationally astute, and financially aware, the successful candidate will enjoy support from SMT as well as a Finance team keen to succeed. Departmental Leads wish to work with a Head of Finance who allows them to manage their departments to the best of their abilities. Experience of the NHS or Independent Sector hospitals is essential.
Requirements
Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
Extensive senior level accountancy experience
Experience of working in the healthcare sector is desirable.
Record of continuous professional development
Demonstrated ability to quickly appraise complex situations and to identify key issues
Significant, relevant experience in a senior finance role, with experience of managing a finance team.
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to develop good relationships with colleagues
Location
You will be working in the Bath Private Hospital and be required to work on site minimum 3 days per week.
