SalarySulis Hospital Bath is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, having been acquired in June 2021.
Since the acquisition, Sulis Hospital has seen significant growth to an expected £38m+ turnover facility through 4 theatres, 2 MRI scanners, Endoscopy Suite, Inpatient and Day Case services.
Sulis has also expanded to become a Community Diagnostic Centre (with an additional MRI scanner) with further plans through 2024 to build at least 1 more Endoscopy Suite, Physiological Measurements facilities for respiratory, cardiology and imaging services, as well as deliver an additional 2 theatres, 7-day case rooms and Inpatient beds to create the Sulis Elective Orthopaedic Centre
Sulis is ambitious, delivers standards of care expected of a centre of excellence, is driving clinical care in new and innovative ways (recognised both regionally and nationally as exemplary) and will remain a key partner not only with the NHS but for the privately funded market that is growing in the area.
We are looking to recruit a commercially minded accountant to lead and support the Finance function, producing financial reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will be a qualified or qualified by experience accountant. They will lead on the production of monthly management accounts, forecast and KPI analysis as well as income accounting and negotiating insurance price uplifts for Sulis. They will provide support to the Head of Finance on year end statutory accounts and the production of annual budgets. They will be a people leader focused on supporting and developing a Finance team whose members are keen to succeed.
Previous experience in a similar role and experience of managing a team is essential. Experience within the healthcare sector is preferable. Overall, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with colleagues within Sulis and the RUH and they will have a positive, forward thinking, attitude.
Full time 37.5 hours - Requirement of at least 3 days a week on site.
