Job description

Goodman Masson are thrilled to be partnering with a world-leading creative organisation who are embarking on an exciting period of expansion as they are in the process of setting up a brand new Theatre in London! As they are setting up a new team in at their new site, we are searching for a Head of Communications and Media to come and join their incredibly dynamic organisation that does so much good work in the world of performative and in the local community. The main responsibilities of the Head of Communications and Media are:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive corporate and brand communication plans, setting goals and crafting impactful narratives that reflect the organisation's mission.
  • Implement dynamic campaigns and events engaging diverse media and stakeholder audiences with corporate, brand, and arts content messaging. Foster contacts, manage relationships, and ensure internal coordination.
  • Collaborate with external PRs and internal departments for corporate-related press announcements.
  • Oversee seasonal media plans, including Autumn and Spring press releases, consultations with incoming companies, and coordinating the Media and Communications team across all platforms.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A track record of planning and executing dynamic and effective public affairs, corporate comms and brand Communications for an organisation or company of similar scale or impact.
  • Substantial media management experience including fostering relationships with journalists and influencers
  • Experience of the arts and culture sector is not essential but desirable
  • Experience of planning and delivering stakeholder relations programme including liaising with senior figures
  • Experience of developing dynamic communications that have affected a step change in awareness and/or perceptions of an organisation amongst key audiences
  • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of the arts and ability to articulate their public value.
