Head Of Human Resources

We are currently working with a multi-Academy Schools Trust who are looking for a Head of Human Resources to support them on a temporary basis, for an initial 4-5 months.

The role is based in Birmingham, offers a day rate of circa £400 per day (willing to be flexible), and they are looking for someone to strategically lead and direct a responsive, effective and professional HR function.

They are looking for someone to start immediately, and ideally have previous experience within education.

Duties (including but not limited to):

• Delivering a comprehensive HR service including the provision of professional and confidential HR and employment law support, advice and guidance
• Providing support, coaching and training to all leaders on the people management implications of policy and strategy
• Advising and supporting the Executive Leadership Team and other leaders in managing change, including workforce remodelling and organisational restructuring
• Leading and developing the HR team, including taking responsibility for the team’s professional development
• Working with unions and professional associations, maintaining strong and effective relationships that support the organisation’s employment approach and responsibilities
• Managing key change initiatives, including TUPE consultations and restructuring exercises

Experience required:

• Education experience (highly desirable)
• CIPD Level 7 qualification
• Ability to successfully lead a team and line manage staff
• Experience of working with Trade Unions
