Head Of Operations

Shillito Executive Search are working with a Sheffield based manufacturing business within the electronics industry as they look to recruit a Head of Operations.

You'll join the business during a period where they have received significant investment that has helped the business increase both turnover and headcount and are looking to continue on this path of success.

As Head of Operations, you'll manage the manufacturing and supply chain departments and ensure the business delivers for customers in line with business targets.

The job role

Reporting to the CEO, duties and responsibilities will include:

• Achieve world class manufacturing by continually challenging ways of working to drive improved teamwork, product quality, cost and delivery
• Lead the S&OP process & capacity management needs, ensuring supply chain & manufacturing schedules are aligned, realistic and achievable
• Drive & champion supply chain & product quality
• Drive a culture of safety & welfare first culture, capturing all issues and non-compliance within a closed loop corrective action system
• Manage supply chain and manufacturing fixed and variable costs and in line with budgets; whilst continually challenging efficiencies to drive improvement
• Foster improved team performance through training and coaching processes and programmes
• Maintain and deliver a system of asset care processes and controls for manufacturing equipment, assets, infrastructure and site facilities

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a candidate who is ideally Degree educated within a technical or engineering discipline.

You'll have significant production management experience, ideally electronics related and you will have worked in a senior management role, such as Plant Manager, General Manager or Operations Director.

What's on offer on return?

In return for this fantastic mixture of skills and experience, the business are looking to offer a basic salary of around £80,000 + company car and bonus.

The business is perfectly located in Sheffield next to the M1.
