Working Hours: Full time, 9:30 – 6pm
Job Purpose:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Halfpenny London, a leading British luxury bridal wear brand. We are looking for a full time Head of Operations and People to provide strategic guidance and direction to the team to ensure the company achieves its creative and financial vision, mission, and long-term goals.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, strategic and creative, who thrives within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with excellent attention to detail and forward thinking at all times. A great team player with the vision for systems and ideas to enhance both the customers experience and business journey.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Founder to plan cost-effective Operations and market development activities. Business Execution: Implement the company’s business strategies to achieve goals. Policy & Compliance: Establish and maintain company policies and legal guidelines. Partnership Building: Foster and expand relationships with external brands. Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance with the Accounts team, ensuring adherence to expense budgets. Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the senior team to maximize performance. Culture Development: Enhance and sustain a positive work environment and company culture. HR Collaboration: Oversee performance appraisals, training, and professional development alongside external HR. Problem-Solving: Analyse challenges and provide solutions to ensure company growth and survival. Strategic Advice: Offer strategic insights to the management team. Business Planning: Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to achieve strategic objectives.
THE CANDIDATE
- Minimum 5 years of department leadership experience, including leadership team roles. Essential experience in the fashion and/or luxury sector. Proven track record in brand building. Outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Hands-on approach, blending strategic and tactical abilities. Deep understanding of customer targeting, segmentation, and marketing. Highly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to inspire and uplift team members. Creative and innovative, with a talent for generating original, high-quality ideas and concepts. Excellent time management skills. In-depth knowledge of the industry, market, and its dynamics. Strong financial acumen, including understanding P&L statements.
