SalaryKey Responsibilities:
- Leading and overseeing the strategic planning function to ensure comprehensive delivery of statutory duties.
- Collaborating with the Strategic transport function to enhance the economic, social, and environmental capital of Swindon Borough.
- Strategically coordinating a range of Planning functions on a day-to-day basis, ensuring modern, efficient, and effective service outcomes across the Borough.
- Contributing actively to the delivery of the Council's Priorities through strategic leadership.
- Assisting the Director in leading all aspects of strategic planning functions and department operations.
- Deputising for the Director as required, ensuring continuity and consistency in leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in town planning within the relevant sector.
- Ability to strategically lead and coordinate planning functions effectively.
- Proven experience in improving economic, social, and environmental outcomes through planning.
- Strong leadership capabilities, particularly in strategic settings.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and departments.
