The Role
As Head of Communications and External Relations, you will play a crucial role in shaping and promoting the charity's identity and reputation. You will work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees to drive forward their mission and strategy through managing communications. This role requires a proactive and creative leader who can excel in a fully remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the SLT and the Board to develop and execute communications and engagement strategies
- Plan and organise events that align with the charity's mission and represent the organisation at events within the sector
- Oversee and manage the charity's digital presence to enhance online visibility and engagement
- Engage in advocacy efforts at the national level to influence policies and legislation related to the charity's mission
The Successful Candidate
- 5+ years senior experience in strategic communications, engagement, or external affairs within charities
- Exceptional project and people management skills
- Proactive, creative and dynamic with a collaborative and positive attitude
- Thrives working within a growing organisation
