Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Public Relations Assistant. As a Public Relations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Public Relations efforts of our company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience in the field of Public Relations and communications. Duties: - Assist in the development and implementation of Public Relations strategies and campaigns - Conduct research on media outlets, journalists, and influencers - Assist in writing press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials - Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and interviews - Monitor media coverage and compile media reports - Maintain media contact lists and databases - Assist with social media management and content creation - Provide administrative support to the Public Relations team Skills: - Proficient in QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting - Strong administrative skills with excellent phone etiquette - Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents - Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for document creation and collaboration - Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data entry and document formatting - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field (preferred) - Previous experience or internship in Public Relations or communications (preferred) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team This is a paid position with opportunities for growth within our organization.
