Job description
As Head of Repairs you will be responsible for the leadership and strategic oversight of the repairs and maintenance service to residents throughout this South West London authority. You will lead numerous teams delivering a range of functions that include responsive repairs and out of hours, and you will oversee the management of the in-house workforce, specialist repairs workers and contractors.
Other teams include the Contact Centre and the Planning and Scheduling teams and you will be working on projects to optimise the use of technology to deliver efficiencies. On a day-to-day basis you will have a key role in managing teams dealing with voids works and electricians delivering legislative servicing of electrical works.
As a member of the corporate leadership team you will report on performance and help set the agenda. You will have a key role to play in helping to Identify and implement management reports needed to ensure that the service is achieving its targets and financial objectives.
As a leader you will be expected to drive a culture of strong customer focus.
Given the broad scope of this role we are looking for a well-rounded individual who can demonstrate solid experience managing across teams and departments. Strong communication skills are absolutely essential, and you will need to be a confident decision maker, capable of identifying priorities and working to deliver high level, customer focused solutions.
