Head of Sales / Sales Director (Unique Equity Opportunity)

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: Base Salary Circa - £70k - £95k + Car + Benefits + Bonus + Equity

Our client is a rapidly expanding and ambitious business focused on delivering innovative solutions to the industrial sector and large commercial sites. We are committed to accelerating our growth trajectory and are seeking an accomplished, experienced, and highly driven Sales & Marketing Leader to join our team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategies, expanding our customer base, and driving revenue growth. Role

As the Head of Sales / Sales Director, your primary responsibility will be to accelerate revenue growth. You will develop and execute sales strategies, set ambitious sales targets, and play a critical role in shaping the company's standing in the marketplace. This position offers considerable responsibility and the opportunity to grow and lead a sales and marketing team.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop, advance, and execute strategic plans to achieve and exceed sales targets, expanding our customer base within the industrial sector and large commercial sites.
  • Identify and cultivate client opportunities beyond the current business network, leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Expand growth opportunities within the existing client base through strategic engagement and relationship building.
  • Identify potential third-party and intermediary partnerships to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Set, track, and manage team members' performance against aggressive sales targets, providing incentives and rewards for outstanding performance.
  • Utilise internal and Salesforce systems to track and manage future pipeline effectively, sharing revenue predictions with the wider business to facilitate scaling of services.
  • Enhance the online presence of the business through continuous improvement of marketing and social media engagement strategies.
  • Recruit, train, and maintain an effective sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Stay informed about market trends, analyse data, and develop strategies to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
  • Represent the business at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
  • Develop and manage sales projections and budgets to ensure alignment with company goals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in selling product solutions within the industrial sector and large commercial sites.
  • Proven ability to network effectively and cultivate relationships within key markets.
  • Extensive experience driving significant sales generation through direct sales, account management, and strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of how business operations impact sales and marketing efforts.
  • Proficiency in producing reports, analysing data, and making strategic recommendations based on market trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional time management skills.
  • Track record of success in fast-paced sales environments.
  • Ability to find creative solutions aligned with the vision and goals of the business.
