Headship can be a lonely and isolated role. A role that is not only wide but extremely pressured. Our collaboration of Schools has the 100% belief that we are Stronger Together. We know through experience that having support from people doing the same role as you, who share the same values as you, not only makes the job more manageable, it also makes it more enjoyable.
In this role you will have the autonomy of day-to-day operational leadership. You will be the figurehead for our school and get to know all the delightful children, hard working staff and supportive parents. You will also work closely with the Executive Headteacher, members of the Executive team and the Heads of School of the 3 other Schools in the collaboration, on all aspects of strategic planning and implementation.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- An unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the children in their care
- A passion for teaching and learning
- Highly developed communication and organisational skills
- Dedication to developing their own skills and knowledge
- The ability to build positive relationships and encourage others to do so.
- A proactive attitude displaying initiative and creative thinking
- A good sense of humour
In return, we can offer you the opportunity to:
- Make a difference to the lives of children
- Develop your leadership skills, behaviours and knowledge in a supportive and nurturing environment
- Undertake high quality CPD
- Network with your peers on a range of collaboration projects
- Be part of something exciting and innovative that is always looking for new ways to utilise and strengthen the partnerships that exists across the 5 schools in the collaboration.
- Do a job that is challenging, rewarding and good fun.
Applications are welcome form all forms of senior leaders. We are looking for the right person to join and enhance our team, someone who shares the same values and ambition as we do. You do not need to be the finished article, but at the very least show that you have the potential to be exceptional.
We would be delighted to invite you to come and look around our school, to book this or if you are interested in applying, please contact Amanda Sims – PA to Executive Headteacher - email asims@bishopswood-jun.hants.sch.uk who will be happy to assist you with this.
