Prospero Integrated are searching for a Head of Technical to join one of the UK's leading technical event production companies.

The candidate will be responsible for leading a technical team to ensure technical rigour in our clients Production Management process across a range of disciplines including Lighting, Rigging, Sound and Video.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop the Technical team
• Manage the performance of the Technical team to enhance productivity and motivation
• Allocate resources effectively ensuring effective workload distribution including use of freelancers where financially viable to do so.
• Increase margin of jobs through improved quoting processes & department operating systems
• Devise and advise Project Managers on technical solutions for events.
• Facilitate a department presence on site for each job install as required.
• Ensure TETG's Health & Safety policies and procedures are established, communicated and understood by all on site staff.
• Provide schematics, kit-listing and full budgeting and technical quotations to Project Managers.
• Ensure events are appropriately resourced and correctly quoted
• Secure appropriate equipment & resources internally or with external suppliers on a job by job basis
• Work closely with Projects Managers across the business and with Scenic, Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure streamlined delivery
• Work on equipment shortfalls, medium term hires, stock profitability and potential return on future purchases across all technical disciplines.

Skills Required:

• Solid working knowledge of the specification and installation of lighting, video, sound and rigging systems into various event scenarios
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in kit-listing and quoting
• Ability to lead, coach and develop an experienced Technical team
