An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as our Head Veterinary Nurse at Dogwood Referrals in Sale, Manchester.
At Dogwood Referrals we offer specialist led orthopaedic, neurology and soft tissue surgical referrals with on-site CT, MRI, radiography, lab, and arthroscopy.

Role Accountabilities
Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:
- Manage surgery daily list, incorporating emergencies where necessary.
- Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
- Engage, coach and develop your team.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Previous experience as a senior or head nurse essential
- Experience in referral work referrable
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
