Health, Safety, and Facilities Manager

Salary Range: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

About the Role:
A leading company in the Hydrographic and Subsea surveying sector is seeking a Health, Safety, and Facilities Manager. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of Health And Safety for both onshore operations and offshore expeditions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing risks associated with marine activities and ensuring compliance with Health And Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead internal audits and manage health, safety, and facilities operations, including office work permits.
- Develop and oversee Health And Safety procedures for the deployment and recovery of equipment on vessels.
- Act as the project HSE representative, ensuring all staff are equipped with the correct personal protective equipment (PPE), are knowledgeable about survey gear, and hold valid lifting certifications.
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and maritime laws.
- The role involves occasional travel for vessel mobilisation, primarily during the spring to summer operational period.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in Health And Safety management within marine activities, ports, shipping, or the Navy.
- Knowledge of vessel operations (port, stern, etc.) is essential.
- Essential qualifications include NEBOSH General Certificate, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, COSHH.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and thrive under pressure.
