This is an exciting opportunity to act as the Health & Safety Support Officer and provide routine day to day advice and support to David Lewis colleagues across all sites and services.
You will support David Lewis colleagues with health & safety policies, frameworks, systems and processes that are in place. Helping our compliance with good governance and a consistently safe environment for residents, students, service users, staff colleagues, contractors and visitors.
To support the David Lewis Centre acting as an effective health & safety interface with the outsourced provider
Assist Service Leads with policy and the health & safety management system that is effectively implemented throughout the charity.
Coordinate and lead the Charities Health & Safety representatives meeting.

The successful candidate will:-
Have a sound demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety and a willingness to work towards NEBOSH L3 general certificate.
Ideally be able to demonstrate and sound understanding of Fire Safety and Risk Assessment.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in health & safety or in a health or social care setting.
Understanding Health & Safety applicable in Health and Social Care
Ability to work autonomously and to build successful relationships stakeholders
Demonstrate continuing professional development.
Be IT literate and have a knowledge of Health & Safety incident reporting systems.
Have the flexibility of hybrid working and must be able to drive across all our charity sites.

David Lewis provides care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Part Time will also be considered (a minimum of 3 days or 22.5 hours)
Hence, the post requires occasional working outside of usual business hours.
