Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support and care to patients in various healthcare settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care
- Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or physician
- Assist in the implementation of care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Skills:
- Proficient in using IT systems for documentation and record keeping
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different locations (if applicable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred
