Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Support Workers to join our team. As a Health Care Support Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This position requires previous experience in supporting vulnerable individuals who may have neurological and physical conditions, and the ability to administer medication and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or healthcare facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Assist with behavior management strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to administer medication accurately and safely
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
