SalaryWe are searching for a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor who has prior FMCG production experience to drive technical and cultural safety processes within a global FMCG manufacturer in Harrogate.
Key Benefits:
- £50,000 pa, dependent on experience

The Role
The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment, in line with legal and EHS requirements, whilst leading and developing a culture of safety across the facility. You will partner with all site teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and Environmental legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, assistance, and challenge on EHS matters as needed.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and lead HSE audits.
- Develop a culture of safety engagement and communicate successes across the business.
- Oversee COSHH manual management and submission of data for compliance.
- Conduct EHS inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in accident investigations and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Review and align policies, procedures, and documentation with management systems.
- Maintain records related to EHS, including ISO 14001 standards.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety Network to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong demonstrable experience in a plant/production environment; preferably within FMCG.
- Knowledge of EHS law and best practice.
- A recognised H&S qualification; NEBOSH dip or equivalent.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.
- Waste Management expertise.
- Strong training identification and delivery skills.
