To support the future growth of the airport, we are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in assisting with the day to day coordination of all aspects of health and safety management. This a new and exciting role, which will offer the opportunity to work in a hands on capacity across all areas of the airport operation, ensuring the airport fully complies with all health and safety legislation, as well as driving forward continual improvements.
Snapshot of the role:
The role operates as part of our Compliance team, operating across the whole airport and the main aspects of the role are: -
Carry out investigations in the event of an incident/accident, gathering evidence and keeping records.
Ensure staff and business partner compliance with LBA’s Health and Safety Policy and Protocols
Complete internal audits of LBA’s Health and Safety Management System, and external audits of Business Partner safety systems
Participating in/performing site-wide workplace inspections across all airport operations.
Work to achieve the targets, objectives and initiatives as detailed within the airport’s KPIs.
Collaborate with all departments and business partners to drive the wider safety agenda.
Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all legislation.
Supporting the wider Health, Safety, Environment and Compliance (HSE&C) team as required.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team, possessing essential qualifications and attributes to ensure the safety and well-being of our workforce. The ideal candidate must hold a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and trends. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are a must, enabling effective collaboration and dissemination of safety protocols. We value initiative and self-motivation, requiring candidates to be confident and proactive in their approach to ensuring a safe working environment.
Desirable qualifications include membership of IOSH and experience with ISO45001 Safety Management Systems.
