We have a vacancy for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our Tuscany based HSE team. The Tuscany HSE team supports our Howden site so there will be an element of travel required, roughly once a month. Also, to ensure our customers always have fresh product we operate 363 days of the year, 24/7 and therefore whilst the hours are typically “office hours” there will on occasions be the need for flexibility.
Safety is our number one priority, and you will be working alongside the HSE Manager and one other HSE Advisor as part of the Tuscany HSE team to deliver a key business goal of promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability. As part of the HSE team you will need an engaging approach to coach and influence colleagues across the business to understand their accountability and responsibility for HSE.
Key to the role will also be the ability to work cross-functionally to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels to support the HSE agenda and to implement continuous improvement. With your technical expertise and experience you will also need to provide timely, accurate and business-led advice and guidance to colleagues across Manufacturing and Distribution.
No day is the same as an HSE professional, and the bakery and depots are fast-paced. You will need to prioritise your workload which will typically including supporting the business with risk assessments, ensuring investigations establish root cause and that effective corrective actions are put in place, supporting the training team, completing inspections and audits, monitoring performance data and generating reports.
Our Tuscany Park “super bakery” and distribution depot opened in 2005 and can be found on the outskirts of Normanton at Wakefield Europort. The bakery runs 3 high speed, highly automated manufacturing plants producing products like the famous Toastie, Farmhouse, Danish and Wholemeal and sliced bread rolls.
We have around 560 colleagues at Tuscany Park and 70 colleagues in our Howden depot, who ensure our delicious freshly baked products reach our customers across the UK each day. With some exciting innovation and investment, we’re still growing!
At last and by no means yeast, you’ll want to know what your breads worth:
- Basic salary up to £35,000.00 (depending on experience)
