We have an exciting and varied opportunity for a Health Services Finance Team Leader to join the Finance Operations Team here at AXA on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. The UK insurance market is one of the most competitive and advanced markets in the world and profitable growth of personal lines business forms a key part of AXA UK strategic plans. The purpose of this role is to manage the various Health Services financial operation functions, whilst leading and mentoring a team of Financial Operations Administrators.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work a minimum of two days per week in our Tunbridge Wells office.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee all payments to affiliates, ensuring these are paid accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Manage AXA’s cost processing queue, ensuring cases in our Customer Relationship Management system are accurate and processed within specified deadlines.
- Supervise the invoicing process to our clients, including overseeing the allocating of payments received and reconciling clients’ accounts.
- Manage our credit control function, ensuring that outstanding debt is chased in line with our credit control policy.
- Report on outstanding debt, providing regular and meaningful MI to management.
- Support and develop the team of Financial Operations Administrators, through ensuring objectives are set, and training needs and development opportunities are met.
- Manage and monitor the team workload, ensure BAU tasks are met and distributed fairly.

- Able to work to deadlines and manage pressurised workloads, with the ability to prioritise.
- Analytical mindset, good at problem solving skills and resolving conflict.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, across all levels (including senior management) internally and externally.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, in particular Excel.
- Knowledge of a CRM system would be beneficial, however full training will be provided.
