Job Description
Job Description Heating Engineer UKAEAJob Purpose* This role is to support the M&E contract by providing a technical support and efficient administrative function to aid in facilitating a customer-focussed service delivery.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* To act as the responsible person on the HTHW district heating systems and associated plant and equipment.
* To ensure statutory compliance on all boilers, gas burners, calorifiers, pumps, control equipment etc.
* To project manage modifications, upgrades and repairs to the HTHW systems and associated plant and equipment.
* To assist in the long-term strategy for gas fed boiler systems and alternative solutions for both environmental and cost effectiveness.
* To review proposals and specifications to ensure that all work undertaken complies with current legislation.
* Arranging access to buildings for all job tickets by liaising with the building managers or stakeholders to ensure dates and times are suitable for maintenance or project work.
* To ensure that RAMS for both contractors and subcontractors are suitable and complete the UKAEA approval forms, where required.
* To attend preplanning meetings with building users such as co-ordination meetings to present a 4-week look ahead plans and schedules as appropriate.
* To raise RFW's, WAF's and Work Control Packs as required for the locations in advance and to ensure access has been signed off.
* To liaise with the relevant term and sub-contractors to ensure stakeholder communication.
* To escalate any issues to the relevant CPM.
* To raise, manage and audit all work on the UKAEA CMMS (Mainsaver) to ensure that subsequent reports can be managed.
* Liaise and interact with other members of the team to ensure that deconfliction can be achieved in regard to reactive, remedial, planned and project works.
* Presenting project details and technical information to colleagues and clients.
* Writing reports.
* Managing project budgets.
* Keeping up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.
* Writing and advertising tender documents and managing contracts.
* Provide holiday/sick cover as needed to ensure business continuity.
* Completing mandatory UKAEA training as required.

* BOAS qualification.
* Commercial gas safe qualification.
* Understanding of key deliverables of a PPM Programme Experience in use of applications such as Word and Excel
* Ability work on own initiative and to prioritise workload
