Our client is a reputable delivery company who pride themselves on delivering exceptional service to their clients while upholding the highest safety standards. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team.
We are looking for a skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently to our clients' destinations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road safety regulations, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to delivering goods on time and in pristine condition. The Class 2 HGV Driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining company vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
Hours:
Day shift - 8am - 6pm
Night shift - 7am - 7pm
Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to transport goods to various destinations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
Uphold a clean and organized work environment, both within the vehicle and at delivery locations.
Requirements:
Valid Class 2 HGV driving license.
CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Excellent driving skills, with the ability to maneuver vehicles safely in various road and weather conditions.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
