Job Opportunity:HGV Technician/Mechanic (Mobile)
Location: Stonehouse
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 4:00 am - 2:00 pm and Monday- Friday 2:00 pm- 12:00 am

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Job Purpose:
Attend roadside breakdowns and support the Transport Workshop in completing a high standard of repair, on a range of specialist commercial vehicles including bin lorries, skip lorries, trailers, and tippers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend roadside breakdowns across a designated regional area.
- Carry out diagnostics, fault finding, and repair of vehicle electrical systems on commercial vehicles and ancillary equipment.
- Support Workshop Technicians in fault finding and diagnostics upskilling.
- Perform 6-weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on 'first-time fix'.
- Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required.
- Diagnose faults on vehicles and ancillary equipment.
- Repair 'damage' defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image.

Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
- NVQ level 3 qualification relating to commercial vehicle repairs (Essential).
- Minimum of 3 years working in a commercial vehicle environment (Essential).
- Minimum of 2 years in attending roadside breakdown/repairs (Essential).
- Attendance of a roadside recovery/repair safety course (Desirable).
